A beautiful and understated rearrangement of Van Morrison’s ‘Into the Mystic’ at Butcherbird Collective…always a joy to record here.

Laying down the beds with a very rudiment-based approach on the snare. Loved the subtlety and texture of the brushes which evoked a warm, deep, and layered feel incorporating double strokes and diddles (ghost notes). The song builds steadily in intensity, understated when phrasing, and as always, recorded to a click (78bpm).
