A sublime 70 seconds of ‘holding the groove’ and a great example of building tension and intensity over 5 choruses (of 12 bars = 60 bars) for the master of boogie piano Ben Waters (UK).
Restraint with subtle technical variations in each chorus lays the rhythmic bed that we as drummers are required to play to support the soloist and drive the band.
Loved every second of it. Appreciative of the opportunity to be able to do this as a profession with such great musicians.
