Loving this understated groove on the outro of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m on Fire” whilst having a ‘call& answer’ interplay with the Violin and vocal.

The sticking is strictly linear all the way through (think Charlie Watts) with the brush never playing on the 2&4 x-stick creating a more delineated rhythm rather than a continuous flow. Bass drum on 1&3 and hi-hat on 2&4 underpin the pattern. We were recording at the Butcherbird Collective in the Adelaide Hills.
