Playing slow tempos with the golden 'S' rules of keeping it 'Solid, Steady and Simple' ...and this time using maple hot-rods producing a rich, deep textured sound and feel. Another session at Butcherbird Collective re-recording Soundgarden's 'Black Hole Sun'...always a challenge to enact the above ethos with so much time and space between the notes at 54bpm. The left-foot hi-hat on the quaver upbeats helps meld and layer the groove. A syncopated bass drum underpins the melody.
